Foster Care Fortnight is the UK’s largest awareness-raising campaign dedicated to fostering. In 2026, the campaign will run from Monday 11 May to Sunday 24 May, bringing together voices from across the fostering community.

This year’s theme, ‘This is Fostering,’ is a powerful celebration of the diversity, dedication, and impact of foster care. It shines a spotlight on the real stories that define fostering today—honest, inspiring, and rooted in lived experience.

 Ealing Council will host of variety of events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about fostering and supporting foster families. We are holding a virtual information session, social media campaigns and outdoor advertising as well as outreach events from 9:00am to 5:30pm outside Ealing Town Hall on Friday 15^th May, at Westway Cross Shopping Centre, Greenford on Saturday 16^th May and near Quality Foods and Iceland, Southall on Friday 22^nd May. There will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to show their support for foster care or simply find out how they can make a difference to children’s lives.

 We hold regular information sessions online and at Perceval House, where you can find out more, meet the team and hear first-hand from our foster carers and social workers.
